Via the Camera Roll. Five Photos. Four Words.

1. Drink All the Water:  I’ve been stubbornly trying to fight off this UTI/kidney infection/imminent death thing I’ve got going on by chugging the H20.  This sweet Bama cup has been glued to my side.  2.  Best Friends For Life:  These sweet boys came to our house to play after school one day this week.  They all had so much fun. 3.  100th Day of School:  Libby and Kyndall both.. Our No-Snow Snow Day

School ended up being cancelled today.  It’s delayed tomorrow and Wednesday, too.  Now, I don’t mind getting an unexpected free day, not at all, but this weather just stinks.  Zero snow, 13 degrees and feels like -4.  IN ALABAMA.  What the what?  We can’t even leave our house.  I don’t know how you people in the northern states do it.  We’ve done a little of this: And a little of.. First Best Sisters

I found this in Kyndall’s room the other day and it warmed my heart.  It says “First Best Sisters.”  I LOVE that they are best friends–yes, they fight and yes, I sometimes feel like I want to lock them in seperate rooms for a while, but they love each other.  And for the most part, they get along great. Friday afternoon the girls and I went to see “Walking with.. Read More

Mornings on break are the best mornings.

I love my job, I do.  I mean, I REALLY love my job.  But on mornings like this, when we don’t set an alarm and the girls snuggle with me in the recliner.  When we get ready if we want to and when we want to.  When I have my coffee sitting at home instead of rushing out the door.  Mornings where the recliner is full, and my heart is.. Snow Skiing Adventure

We had an amazing week on the slopes.  I’ve found a new favorite activity in snow skiing, and so have the girls 🙂 We left on the 26th and spent 5 nights at Beech Mountain, North Carolina.  I know it’s not Colorado, but for this southern girl, it was AWESOME!  The trip there took about 8 hours, but thanks to Santa’s gifts of Ipad minis, the girls stayed very well.. Happy 2014 and a Christmas Recap

Happy New Year, guys! Today feels like the start of a new book and I can’t wait to begin the first chapter. I have so many exciting things planned for this year–races, trips, events.  The arrival of my first nephew (OK, so maybe I didn’t plan that one, but I will be planning a trip out to see him, so that counts, right?) Since we hit the slopes right after.. Read More

Christmas Eve Joy

We started our Christmas Eve off right this morning–by sleeping in!  I think we all finally started getting up around 8:45.  Once we were all up and moving, we put on some decent clothes and went (with no makeup or anything!) to Jacks for breakfast.  Then we fought the crazy crowds to run a few errands in town before heading back home. I locked myself in the bathroom/closet to do.. Read More

Workout Rewind and A Christmas Partying Weekend

I’m noticing a trend with my workouts lately.  I do REALLY well at the beginning of the week, and then not so well at the end.  The end of our week just seems to get busier somehow?!?  This week went  a little like this: Monday:  4.5 miles on the treadmill with my new friend Lipstick Jungle. Tuesday: 4.5 miles on the treadmill. Friday:  4 miles on the treadmill.  Making my.. Read More

Electrical Tape Fix and Complete Randomness

What do you do when your leggings get a rip in them and you don’t have a needle and thread?  Use electrical tape, of course. Yes, this really happened. Over the weekend we had Christmas with Justin’s family.  Check out these crazy cousins: My secret pal at school got me the greatest gift(s) ever today.  Essie “It’s Genius” nail polish, a sage green Mossimo top, charm bracelet, and a $25.. Hot Mess

This morning was Monday from the moment my alarm went off….for the THIRD time.  I had set it for 5am to get up and run, which I cancelled the second it started beeping.  Then, when my back-up alarm went off at 6am, I hit snooze.  Which I NEVER do.  I am not one of those people who set the alarm early so that I have time to snooze it–I set..
