The Story of Our Summer, Part 1

Our summer has really had a very busy start–I almost didn’t realize it was summer break yet!!  We’ve loved on Max a LOT…. Well, here he is supervising me doing yoga, but that counts, right? The Color Run happened.  Justin and I didn’t run, because we had to leave immediately after to go to a wedding in Kentucky, but the girls OWNED the fun run! We had VBS at our.. Read More

Atlanta Braves, Star Wars, and a Mini-Vacay

For the past two days, we have been on a mini-vacay to Atlanta, Georgia, with some of our very best friends.  Can I just say that I have no clue how people traveled before technology?  Between Ipods and DVD players, there was hardly a peep from all four kids on the entire 4 hour drive! Of course, all the IPod playing, DVD watching, and car riding did make a certain someone.. Read More

Summer Wishes

Some days, I wish I could send my girls to daycare. They need a break from each other, and I need a break from them. Today has NOT been one of those days. Days like today make me seriously consider homeschooling. I so want to soak up days like today. Our day went something like this. I woke up early and enjoyed a cup of coffee on the patio while.. About a birthday party

My niece, Madi, turns 5 on Tuesday.  Her birthday party was on Sunday at Nana and Papaw’s pool.  The girls had so much fun playing!  Here are a few quick snaps: There were chicken fights….  And girl talks. Cake and snacks. And pool inspections. And overall, lots and lots of fun!

Summer Memories and a Good Book

I am so thankful for the wonderful memories we are making this summer!  Yesterday, we took the kids to see a movie at the Monaco and then bowling.  My girls had never been bowling before and they loved it!  (The photos aren’t so great, thanks to the lighting.) And today, we went swimming!  Don’t you love that hair?  Crazy hair is a sign of too much fun–did you know that?.. Read More

Our Weekend: A Photo Story

The past few days, the temperature around here has ranged from 106-111 degrees.  In the last 3 days, these girls have spent a total of 28 hours in the pool.  There were swim races. And splish-splashes. Suntans. And gangsta poses. A wedding. And make-overs. LOTS of fun spent with family. And a little productivity.  A few months back, my wonderful in-laws passed down this patio furniture when they purchased new. .. Read More

A few cool photos……

How awesome are these photos?  Would you like to know what they were taken with?  AN IPHONE…. yep, you heard me right.  An iphone.  Taken underwater. With this case: A LifeProof case.  They run about $80 and are made for underwater (and everything else for that matter!).  This will most definitely be the next case I purchase for my phone!!

Brave

On Sunday, we went with a few of our favorite people to see the new movie, Brave.  It was super cute and had a great moral lesson–Don’t be disrespecting your mama!! 🙂 These kids are so great at taking pictures–I guess they are somewhat used to it 🙂 Then, Sunday night, we started a new class at church for girls, grades K-4.  It’s titled Girls of Grace, and we kicked.. A friendly little wager

After another fun-filled day at the pool, soaking up the sun, the girls and I came home to sort money.  Justin has this gallon sized jug that he drops his change into each day, and lately, it’s overflowing.  So we divided all the money out until it looked like this: And then we all made bets on how much all that change would add up to be.  The predictions go something.. A birthday party

Happy birthday to my Daddy!! He turned a ripe old 39 today! (Just kidding, he’s a tad older than that, but we’ll keep it a secret!)  Here he is with all his girls: We celebrated his happy years with a dinner at my parents house and a homemade peach cobbler.  Yummy 🙂  Happy birthday to the best Daddy in the world! We also spent the day with the Johnson family,.. Read More
