Guest Post: Kyndall West

So the countdown to Christmas begins.  If you haven’t heard me say it already, I LOVE this time of year!  It’s chaotic and busy and exhausting, but I enjoy every crazy second of it. Kyndall has been wanting to post on the blog for a while now, and she was so excited about her elf coming the other night that I gave in. The following story is brought to you.. Read More

Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving, ya’ll!! Today starts my FAVORITE time of the year! This morning, the girls and I slept in.  I got up around 7:30 and enjoyed a cup of coffee (or two) in the quiet.  The girls stayed in bed until 8:45!  I went in to wake them up, but they looked like this: I just couldn’t do it.  So when they finally rolled out of bed, we enjoyed a.. Pre-Thanksgiving Day

The girls and I spent the morning cleaning and washing clothes. We put the big tree up, but didn’t decorate it yet. (Decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving was a HUGE issue for me, but I’ll get over it!)  I took Max for a 2-mile run, because he is CRAZY hyper lately. I dropped him back off at the house and did 3 more miles outside, in 20-degree weather, just for.. Read More

An Attempt at Hunting, Girl-Style

Sunday afternoon/evening, we took the girls hunting.  I love hunting and went a lot before the girls were born, but never saw anything big enough to kill.  (This IS on my 30 Before 30 list, though!)  Kyndall has been a few times with Justin before, but this was Libby’s first time.  We all clothed ourselves in layers and layers of camouflage and headed out. Mistake #1:  All going in the.. Read More

Photos from the week: K was sick on Monday.  Who best to comfort her than Max? Thank goodness for technology during long waits at the docs office. Sick day = playing board games. Candyland queens 🙂 Max SO wanted to help K with her homework. First outdoor run in WEEKS! Toothless grins are my favorite. Movie field trip. After movie dining at Olive Garden. Curls 🙂 Early morning training run.

How to Run on a Treadmill Without Dying of Boredom

First, an update on the girls.  They were up sick most of the night last night.  Libby was crying with a headache and running a low grade fever.  Kyndall was crying with her throat, and actually started throwing up (again) around 2am.  What is it about kids that make them be deathly sick during the night, and then fine as can be in the mornings?  I mean, not that I.. Proud Mommy Moment + The Race That Wasn’t

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–my girls LOVE running.  Almost as much as their Mom does 🙂  We were all set and ready for a local race this morning.  I was running the 5K and the girls were running the 1-mile fun run.  If you follow me on Twitter, or caught my ‘Via the Camera Roll’ post, you know that Kyndall even insisted on ‘training’ for this.. Here’s this week’s upload of random photos from my phone. Libby said, “Say Diva’s!” Photo shoot in the big round circle at Target. New tattoo that I am determined to get.  Soon. Hair therapy for all. New shoes. Toothless friends. Max snuggles.

Hey guys! I’ve been MIA the past few days.  I am in the process of purchasing my own domain and all that jazz, and it’s a bit confusing.  It’s been taking up all my blog thoughts–I guess I’m a lot more technologically challenged than I thought 🙂 Here’s a look at our week from the camera roll on my phone: Last Friday, K was sick.  Went to the doctor and.. Halloween Fun! Warning: Photo OVERLOAD!

The girls chose to go as Smurfette and Princess Sophia this year for Halloween.  We purchased 2 Sophia dresses for the diva (AKA: Libby), but neither would do.  We ended up borrowing the one she wore from a friend of mine.  If you are in the market for a size 4 Sophia dress, hit me up 🙂 Wednesday night, the girls wore their costumes and we went to our church..
