Yo Aasics, I’m Your Girl!

I came across a post the other day titled So where’s all my free sh*t? .  It made me laugh out loud.  **Warning:  While hilarious, the above mentioned blogger does have a potty mouth!** When I started this blog, it was for a few reasons. I wanted to be able to share our lives with long-distance family. It was a quick and easy version of digital scrapbooking, without the page-designs.  Post.. Read More

NASHVILLE!! (<---insert girly scream here!)

Ya’ll!!! Nashville, Season 2 premiere’s tonight!  I am BEYOND excited!  How sad is it that I have planned my entire evening around being able to watch this show?  Super early dinner, super early baths, definitely on-time bedtime for the girls.  No extra books or tv time for them tonight 🙂 PS:  I know that Rayna is going to be OK.  There is no way they would kill her off this.. Weekly Workout–Stepping Up my Half Marathon Training

Half marathon training really kicked in this week.  After weeks of running 3-4 miles, 4-5 times a week to build my ‘base’, I started stepping it up with distance and speedwork.  If you care absolutely nothing about running, and don’t want to read about my training, go here and watch this video instead: Hello again to the two of you who stayed with me! 🙂 This week’s runs were a.. Nascar at Atlanta Motor Speedway

This weekend I checked another item off my 30 before 30 list.  We made the trip to the Atlanta Motor Speedway to watch the Advocare 500.  I like racing, so I knew that I would enjoy the trip.  I was shocked at how much MORE I liked it than I had expected.  When the race started, I got this big silly grin on my face that wouldn’t go away.  The.. Be Present

This weekend I had a to-do list 10 miles high.  The laundry pile was taking over our bedroom.  The floor was still sticky from a spilled glass of grape juice that didn’t get cleaned up well enough.  The dogs needed bathing. But then my girls decided they needed me.  They needed me to cuddle and watch TV.  They needed me to read books.  They needed me to paint toenails.  They.. Read More

Just Be

At the beginning of 2013, I joined in on Ali Edwards One Little Word Challenge.  My word was ‘present’, as in BE PRESENT.  I am guilty of spending large quantities of time with my girls, but not much quality time.  Be it my never ending to-do list or just my ADD, I find it difficult to just ‘be.’ I’ve worked really hard so far this year on changing that.  On.. The half-marathon plan: A post about running

I have always been an athletic person.  I started playing youth league softball before Kindergarten and didn’t stop organized sports until graduation.  I did it all–softball, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball.  My junior year in high school, I would have cheer practice from 2:00-5:00 and then do my 3-to-5 mile cross country workout after that.  (Ironically, I was the biggest I have ever been at this point in my life.  I.. My Stinky Run + My 10K Playlist

I didn’t realize this, but my last post was my 150th! WOW! If I wasn’t lame and boring, I would’ve done a giveaway or something.  Right now, I only have 5 registered followers, but according to Blogger, somewhere around 150 people check my blog weekly.  A giveaway might be neat in the near future.  But on to today’s post: I ran a very stinky 3.2 miles this morning with a.. A Lost Perspective

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been 5 weeks since my last blog post.  I really AM slacking!  My sister-in-law sent me this sweet text the other day: Thanks Kristi :).  Seriously, though, her text reminded me why I started this blog in the first place.  I wanted our out-of-town family to be able to see the girls grow up and experience, even digitally, all the special events of their lives… Read More

I met Jerrod Neimann!!! #FanBash2013 (EEEK!)

I’m a BIG lover of music, especially country music, and I’ve been a long-time fan of Jerrod Niemann.  Number 15 on my 30 Before 30 list was to see him in concert.  Well, I one-upped myself.  I purchased tickets to a Fan Club party with Jerrod and Lee Brice, another amazing country artist. Justin, Mallory, Trey and I headed toward Nashville around 7:30 yesterday morning.  The party started at 11:00 and we.. Read More
