California Day 4: California Adventures

California vacation day 4 was spent at California Adventures. When the park opened, we made a bee-line for Cars Land and it was awesome. We met Lightning McQueen and rode Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters. After Cars Land, we got in line for the Radiator Springs Racers, and honestly, that’s where it all went downhill. When we got in line, the estimated time to wait showed 1 hour… Read More

California Vacation 2019

Our 2019 Spring Break trip was a tour of Southern California. We had a 6:00 AM flight out of Nashville on day 1 and it was the kids first flight ever. We are BIG fans of the Bucket List Family, so we copied a page out of their book and kissed the plane for good luck! As we were boarding, one of the flight attendants pulled the kids to the.. Week in the Life: Tuesday Words + Photos

Tuesday morning, my alarm went off at 5:30.  Ten minutes later, I rolled out of bed and hit the shower.  Typically, our morning routine is the same.  I wake up first and get my shower.  Justin wakes up and gets dressed, then wakes the kids up and supervises their getting dressed.  I do everybody’s hair (except Justin’s- ha!) and then they all go downstairs for breakfast and to pack lunches.. On Prayer

Prayer is something that has always come easy to me.  I was taught at an early age to speak to Jesus like I speak with my Daddy, so that’s what I’ve always done.  I pray driving down the road, walking through the mall, and alone in my bedroom.  I know when I pray, God hears me.  I know when I pray, God listens.  But I’ve not often had him clearly.. 5 Things To Know For Today

It’s one thing to write a blog post. It’s a whole other thing to know people actually read said blog post. I tend to operate under the impression that no one reads what I write, so it always surprises and excites me to find out people sometimes do. I’ve purchased Rosetta Stone to help me learn Spanish.  This has been a bucket list goal of mine for several years now.. Read More

If you follow me on social media, you probably already know that our sweet boy made his grand appearance last week.  On Tuesday, January 13 at 9:41am, Jase Allen West made his arrival, a little earlier than expected.  Let’s back up a little. On Monday, January 5, I went to the doctor for my regular 36-week appointment.  My blood pressure was elevated and my urine showed small levels of protein.. Read More
