Several years ago, I wrote a post titled 30 Before 30 and on that list was “Write a book. Or at least part of a book.” To be honest, my dream of writing started long before that blog post, but that was the first time I had given life to that dream.
Last summer, I started brainstorming. And drafting. And then writing.

For Christmas, my kids gave me the greatest gift. They scheduled an appointment with a designer from Books and Moods, a company that has designed covers for some of my favorite authors.
In February, I worked with an editor who pointed out a few plot holes in my story. At the beginning of June, I finally shared the manuscript with my mom, my sister, and my girls. They found more errors and plot holes than the editor did, and for future reference, I’ll just be using them instead of a paid editor.

And even thought it definitely didn’t happen before the age of 30, tomorrow is the official release day! Everything I Always Wanted is the first in a standalone contemporary romance trilogy. (I already have plans and notes for books two and three!) If you love second chances, found family, and small towns, this is the book for you!
About Everything I Always Wanted
Five years ago, Maggie Cooper fled Alabama, leaving behind amazing foster parents, a missing envelope of money, and the boy who stole her heart at thirteen. Now she’s back with a black eye, twin boys, and a suitcase full of secrets.
Maggie wants to sneak in, lick her wounds in private, and avoid Kane Bradford for as long as possible. Except the boy Maggie once loved is everywhere, and he’s determined to get the second chance they both deserve.
Maggie discovers that family isn’t always about blood–it’s about who shows up when the creek is raging. When disaster strikes, she must decide if spilling her secrets will save everyone or if it will ruin her chance at everything she’s always wanted.
