We started back to school today!  (We being the girls, I had to go back last week for teacher meetings.) I cannot believe I have a 2nd & 4th grader. Seriously, where has the time gone?

Libby has been so stinking excited for school to start back. Her teacher is a major fashionista, so they should get along just fine! Kyndall, on the other hand, wasn’t quite ready to give up sleeping late and spending the days splashing in the pool. (I don’t think there’s any need to give MY opinion on back to school!)

Kyndall’s favorite part of school was snack time! She loved that, as a 4th grader, she is the ‘senior’ of the school. They also get to sit wherever they want in the lunchroom, which she thinks is cool. Also cool? The temperature in her room. She’s already packed a jacket for day two!

Libby’s favorite part of her day was reading No, David and math.  She made two new friends. Mrs. Stephens sent her to the office with attendance reports, and she loved getting to be a leader!

(In case you’re wondering, I spent the day fighting with technology that didn’t want to work right and trying to stretch pennies into dollars to buy a few e-books. My favorite part was lunchtime!)

This back-to-school routine is going to take a while to get used to. After school all day, we had gymnastics and then church. It’s going to be a busy few months!
