LinksI had a post typed out and planned for today, but then I decided I needed to marinate on it a bit.  It’s deep and thought-provoking and I want to weigh my words carefully.  So instead of all that heavy, I’m sharing with you a few links I love–my favorites from around the web.

  • 7 Truths About Marriage You Will Not Hear in Church.  I especially love number 2:  “There is more than one person out there for you.  Soul mates are made, not born.”
  • This is not a flower year by Jess Connolly.  I have never made this comparison before, but it’s a good one.  Some years are spent growing deep roots and standing firm like an old oak tree.
  • Just Mercy.  Our prison system and the treatment of criminals are big topics right now.  (Have you heard about the Netflix documentary, Making a Murderer?  I haven’t watched it yet, but we will soon.)  This book explores the criminal justice system, specifically in my home state.  It’s eye opening and I really have no other words for it besides, you owe it to yourself to read it.
  • Speaking of prison and courtrooms and the like, go read Courthouse Compassion by Lori Harris.

On the blog, one year ago:  On Asking For Help.

Two years ago:  Eight Confessions and A Promise.

Happy Friday!
