Y’all, life goes by so quickly, doesn’t it?  I had great intentions of doing a monthly post full of what we’ve been doing, currently.  When I looked back, my last Currently post was in September and volume 2 was all the way back in April!  Oops!  Maybe that’s what happens when you are building a house and running three kids around everywhere?  Anyhoo, today you are getting the third installment of my Currently series.  Enjoy!

What We’ve Been Up To, Currently:

MARDI GRAS!!! At our school, our fourth grade hosts an annual Mardi Gras parade.  Each fourth grade class makes its’ own float and the rest of the school sits around the inside square of our school and watches the parade of floats and students and everyone gets tons of candy.  It is one of my favorite school traditions!Currently

Last week, we all got haircuts.  Both girls got major hair cuts– Kyndall had SIX inches taken off!  And this from the girl who literally cried a few months ago because she had to have it trimmed.  My how the tables have turned! 🙂Currently

We were super excited to have the Davis clan come and visit a few weekends ago.  (This is Justin’s sister and her husband and little boy.)  We love them so much and relish any chance we have to spend with them.  The kids had such a great time riding the four-wheeler, fishing, and just hanging out on the farm.  On Sunday, the whole West gang came over for lunch.  I hate that we didn’t get a picture of ALL the kids, but forgetting to take a picture is a sign of too much fun, right?Currently Currently

Spring is my absolute most favorite time to live on a farm.  Babies are being born, eggs are being laid in abundance, and things are starting to grow.  BUT it is still cool enough that the smells stay at bay.  (The heat of the summer months really brings out the animal smells!)Currently

This baby girl of mine had to go for a sleep study.  She was very nervous, but she settled in pretty quickly.  She looked very pitiful hooked up to all those wires and tubes, though.  She seemed to sleep pretty well through the night of the study–I was the one who woke up every time the nurse came in to adjust the wires.

I made a Facebook post about her sleep study and lots of you have been so kind as to ask what was going on with her.  She has had strep throat a million-gazillion times since October and her tonsils are staying massively swollen.  Her pediatrician ordered a sleep study as the first step in getting her tonsils taken out.  They think she has sleep apnea from her tonsils being so swollen that they touch together when she sleeps.

She has really felt rough the past few weeks.  She has this horrible, barking cough that comes from her throat being irritated from the swollen tonsils.  She is not eating well or sleeping well.  She has a headache, backache, and chest ache from the stupid coughing.  It’s a big mess.  We are on the road to having surgery to remove her tonsils, it is just a process to actually get there.  Please keep her (and us!) in your prayers for the next few months as we try to get her well!

When you haven’t been able to see your friends in a while, you FaceTime them for a conversation over dinner!  My Jase is absolutely in love with the Terry’s “Ju-Ju Lin” and wants to see her all the time! He is so funny!! I love this picture of the two of them (and sweet Case!) sharing their first of many conversations!

That’s what we have been up to, currently.  How about you?  I would love for you to share with me in the comments one thing you have going on!
