Lately @OurAlabamaLife.com

You guys, it’s SHARK WEEK!! I don’t usually get all into sharks, but I have been sucked in majorly this year.  Maybe it was Anna’s super awesome, last-minute, kick-off party?

Funny story:  A few years ago, when Kyndall was 4(ish), Justin let her watch a few episodes of shark week.  In the middle of the night, I woke to heart stopping screams coming for her room.  I rushed in to find her climbing the bookcase in her room.  Seriously, she was on the third shelf.  Getting away from the shark, apparently.
Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comSummer evenings around these parts are spent on the trampoline 98% of the time.  The girls sweet-talked Zion into helping them stunt.  So cute 🙂

Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comI have jumped on the ‘bench-sitting’ train since reading Simply Tuesday.  (Seriously, you guys have got to read it.  It’s all about calming your soul.  The tagline itself reads:  Small Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World.  And right now, it’s half-off on Amazon.  Preorder it here.)

Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comJase tried his first actual food (prunes), not counting oatmeal cereal.  He wasn’t quite sure how to take it, but after a few bites he decided it was OK.  Not good, but OK.

Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comFact of Life #3978:  When you are the third child, your family pulls you out of bed at 9:30 at night to ride around and watch fireworks.  Which you will sleep through, because you are a baby.  PS:  See that ring around his head?  My boy puts out some sweat, y’all.

Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comThese two.  Such love.

Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comPlease excuse the poor, movie-theatre lighting- quality of this photo, but we went to see Max yesterday.  Spoiler alert:  Towards the end of the movie, Max (the main character/hero dog) gets badly hurt and it appears he’s dead.  My girls would be traumatized if the movie had ended this way.  I looked over at one point and told K “He’s ok, he’s going to be just fine.” while silently thinking “Please let him be OK,  PLEASE LET HIM BE OK!”

Lately @OurAlabamaLife.comDuring the ENTIRE movie, Jase just chilled.  He did nurse a little at one point but the rest of the time he actually watched the movie.  Further proof that he is a great baby.  (Saying this scares me a little–am I going to pay for this when he hits the teenage years?)

By the Numbers:
Number of photos taken on my phone in the past three days:  14
Number of times I said ‘seriously’ in this post:  too many!

What have you guys been up to lately?
