I love big, enormous projects–the building a new house, moving to a new house, remodeling an old house–kind of projects.  And right now, I have the fever, y’all.  I want something different oh-so-bad.  Justin and I have been married for 10 years and lived in three houses, which averages out to a different house about every 3.3 years.  It’s about time for us to do something new. Something fresh.  Something different.

Part of me would LOVE to buy an old house and completely renovate it.  I think between Justin and I, we have all the skills necessary to be outstanding at remodeling.  He has killer construction skills, does electrical work as his career, and can fix anything and everything.  I’m an HGTV addict, and thus, super qualified to make design decisions.  We make the perfect team, right?

But the other part of me really loves where we are now….not the house itself (although, I do really love it.  I’m just ready for something, you know, different), but the neighborhood.  It’s just so convenient and home-y and we love everyone one in it.  But there are no old houses for sale in our neighborhood.  There are actually no homes for sale in our neighborhood, period.  Just a bunch of empty lots.  So this part of me, this other part, wants to build a new house.

I feel it necessary to tell you that I jump on these types of decisions quickly.  I decided yesterday I was ready for something different, so I want something different today.  Justin is the total opposite of me.  I have to talk to him for weeks, months, and years before he will make any type of decision.  (Seriously, you should hear us trying to decide what to eat for supper!)

So what I’m saying is, we are (And I use ‘we’ loosely since Justin isn’t all-in with my plans as of yet) on the hunt.  A house (or house plan, contractor, empty lot) hunt.  And if you live in my neighborhood and are reading this and would like to, I don’t know, swap houses, let me know.  I guess you could also sale us your house, but that would require you moving out, which I’m not really ok with either….

Also, if you have any connections with HGTV and would like to hook us up with them before we start this huge project, that would be awesome.
