Why I Love Amazon Prime @OurAlabamaLife.comIt’s no secret that I love my Amazon Prime* membership.  I take full advantage of it and so, to me, it’s definitely worth the $99 yearly fee.  After looking over my recent orders, I thought I needed to share with you why I love Prime, as well as a few things I’ve purchased this month.

Lots of things I order through Prime are cheaper, and I enjoy the 2-day shipping. Almost out of shampoo? I could run to the store and drag all three children out OR I could sweet-talk Justin into stopping for me OR I could just order it and have it delivered to my doorstep in 2 days. Ordering wins, hands down.

This month, the following items were in my Amazon cart and then delivered to my door:

Good to know:  When ordering items that you don’t need in 2 days, Amazon offers a $1 e-book credit if you select no-rush shipping.  I try to use these as much as possible and usually get one additional free book each month.

Once a month, you get free pre-release titles.  Each month, Amazon sends me an email with four or five pre-release titles.  I choose one and it’s delivered wirelessly to my device.  Typically, there is one book per genre–romance, thriller, nonfiction, and .

Free streaming Prime video.  The Good Wife. Covert Affairs. The Unit.  {Full disclosure:  Not available are Friday Night Lights, Revenge, or Rookie Blue.}

Prime Music.  It’s like Pandora and Spotify, combined.

Christmas is coming up and I am already adding items to my cart to be used as Christmas presents.  Usually, Amazon has awesome black Friday sales.  (Not to be confused with the horrid Prime Day sales fail.)

And speaking of Christmas, do you have a voracious reader in your family?  Someone who could benefit from an Amazon Prime membership? Give the gift of Prime here.
