A Stuffed Animal Birthday Party

About two weeks ago, the girls started talking about hosting a birthday party for their stuffed animal, Cherry.  Invitations were handmade.  They both spent several hours in K’s room building a piñata for the party.   After two weeks of planning and creating, Libby decided on a date.  And never being one to ignore imagination, I let it happen. The girls spent their own money on silly string, party hats,.. Read More

Words + Photos: Summer Edition

I’ve been horrible at keeping you updated this summer.  That goals list I had all planned out?  It hasn’t even begun.  For some reason, all I want to do is sleep….and eat!  So here is a quick recap of our summer, with words and photos. Right after vacation, I had a spa day with my mom and sister.  Everyone deserves a spa day after vacation, am I right?  They had.. Read More

Throwback Thursday Stories: Vegas, Baby!

Linking up with The Mom Creative again for #TBTStories.  My scrapbooking, memory-keeping heart is loving this! This photo was taken almost 9 years ago.  Justin and I had been married around a year when we were invited to fly out to Las Vegas to watch Supercross Finals.  That’s dirt bike racing, just so you know.   And back when Travis Pastrana was still racing.  It was our first “real” trip.. The Inn at Christmas Place

Last weekend we went on yet another getaway.  I know, we’re rivaling the Kardashians, right?  Only, I’m pretty sure they don’t do their own laundry…. Anyways, we traveled to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with a few of my teacher friends and their kids.  Quite a cute crew, am I right? We stayed at the Inn at Christmas Place.  They celebrate Christmas year round!  When we got there on Friday night, they.. Read More

Via the Camera Roll. Five Photos. Four Words.

1. Drink All the Water:  I’ve been stubbornly trying to fight off this UTI/kidney infection/imminent death thing I’ve got going on by chugging the H20.  This sweet Bama cup has been glued to my side.  2.  Best Friends For Life:  These sweet boys came to our house to play after school one day this week.  They all had so much fun. 3.  100th Day of School:  Libby and Kyndall both.. Our week in photos: On Monday, I had to take Kyndall to the doctor.  (She had a UTI.  Sometimes it just stinks being a girl!)  While waiting, we played “Mother May I?” Another photo from the Christmas party on Wednesday.  I’m saving this for the picture table at their wedding 🙂 This picture is big news.  Kyndall has always LOVED Max, but Libby has been indifferent.  I caught her scratching.. A Day of Christmas Parties (and a post full of pictures!)

Both girls had their Christmas parties at school today.  And like the Mom-of-the-Year that I so obviously am, I forgot my camera at home.  {Insert really mad face here!}  Thank goodness for camera phones, right? Libby’s party was first, at 9:00 a.m.  They sang Christmas carols, and then made Gingerbread houses. Libby and Koby–the “Dynamic Duo”. Kyndall’s party was at 12:30–they had cookie cake and a book swap.   We.. Read More

These are a FEW of my FAVORITE things….

Last night, I hosted my 2nd annual Favorite Things Party.  I look forward to this ALL year!  Our guest of honor was Carrie–we are celebrating her 2nd Cancer-Free anniversary!  YAY for kicking cancer’s butt! The rules are simple:  pick one favorite item, $5 price range.  Bring 5 of that same item to the party, unwrapped.  During the party, we explain why the item is our favorite and then draw 5.. I have spent the last two days stuffing myself with good food, shopping my heart out, and then being completely lazy.  It’s been wonderful 🙂  Here are a few pictures of our week: From one of my runs this week with Max.  Tell me your dog does this too….. he grabs the leash and walks/runs around with it.  Maybe it makes him think he’s leading me?  Thanksgiving day attire. Fun.. Read More
