Project Life, for life, baby.

I used to be an avid scrapbooker.  Kyndall has two entire albums dedicated to her first year of life.  She has two entire pages showcasing her in a little red wagon.  (Seriously, I had nothing better to do than photograph my child playing in her wagon and then create a full two-page spread to remember it by.  Those were the days!)

Then Libby came along and she has a few (maybe 10) full scrapbook pages that are hers.  Jase is now one and has exactly zero pages.  In my desperation to keep scrapbooking, I’ve attempted Project Life twice now.  Both times I would do great from January right up until Spring Break and then fall off my own little red wagon.

The idea of Project Life is great.  It is made for busy mamas like me.  The plan is to create one two-page spread for each week of the year.  Much easier than trying to scrapbook each major event in each child’s life.  You can create one Project Life album per year and then your children can fight over which ones they each get to keep.

The thing is, even that was too much for me.  Enter my new attempt at Project Life:  Monthly.  For 2016, I am going to create one two-page spread for each month.  Surely that’s doable, right?  I’ll be using the Project Life app to create my pages, but you could use any collage-making site.  PicMonkey has free options, or you can google ‘free collage maker’ for more.  Create your page, print it, and put it in your album.  Done!

Are any of you scrapbookers?  Are you more caught up than I am?  If not, would you want to join me in this monthly Project Life venture?  Let me know in the comments 🙂
