These gorgeous flowers were picked from my mom’s flowerbed and delivered to me via my sweet girls.  Totally made my Monday.

In other news, our VBS week started today.  I’m teaching 4th grade with two awesome ladies and I couldn’t be more excited!!  We have a crazy, chaotic week ahead!

*Edited to add:  So I was reminded about a funny story from VBS that just HAD to go on my blog from today.  Our bible lesson today was on Joshua leading the Israelites into the promised land, and how God parted the river for the Israelites to cross.  In an effort to put this on a level the girls could understand, I compared the parting of the river to our very own Tennessee River, which I knew they all have seen.  This prompted several comments, and our conversation went something like this.

Me:  Imagine seeing the Tennessee River parted with water on both sides and dry ground in the middle.
Girl A:  What about the alligators in the river?
Me:  Oh, well, God is in control of the alligators too.
Girl B:  You know, sometimes, people kill other people and throw their bodies in the river.
Me:  Wwweeeeellllllll……….God is in control of those dead bodies too.

Seriously?  I guess you learn something new EVERY day!
