You guys! Our plumber came yesterday and installed all of our toilets, hooked up all the faucets, and finished all the other plumbing things. We now have working bathrooms and running water and are even closer to being finished with our forever farmhouse! YAY!

Today, I am sharing our farmhouse master bathroom update with you. I was super excited to be able to partner with Floor & Decor on the tile for our floor and shower. If you are ever building and/or remodeling and need new flooring, check them out for sure!  I went for a store tour several months ago and was amazed at their selections.

Just so you know, all white tiles are not the same.  Floor & Decor’s subway tile is the brightest, cleanest white available on the market.  When I picked up subway tile samples from other stores, they were much more yellow/ivory in color.

Double Vanity:

One thing missing from this room still are mirrors.  I haven’t quite decided if I want to go with one big mirror all the way across the length of the vanity or two smaller mirrors with some decorative piece in the middle.  (Feel free to leave me your opinion in the comments!)  We have these lights to go above the sinks, but they haven’t been installed yet.

PS: If I were a professional blogger, I would have cleaned those floors before taking this picture.  {Hides face in embarrassment.}

Soaking Tub:

The only other item still needing to be completed is the tile around the tub.  We will use the same white subway tile to build a backsplash around our soaking tub to help protect the walls.

I can’t wait to be settled in and getting ready in this bathroom.  I dream of long soaks in that tub with candles and a book, but let’s be realistic–I have kids and that probably won’t happen for a while =)  Maybe I can at least squeeze in some steamy, relaxing showers of a morning though, which is the next best thing!
